The Nawakwa Native American Dance Team is available to perform at a number of different events. While the team greatly enjoys doing performances, we are not always able to honor every request nor do we have the ability to have all the dancers available for every request. The Nawakwa Native American Dance Team is spread across Central Virginia so different dancers may show up for different performances depending on the location.
To request the presences of the Dance Team please fill out the form below completely. Forms which have not been fully filled out can not be responded to.
If you ask about Cost information, we do not charge for any of our all volunteer performances, but please be considerate of the Team’s volunteer services. We the Nawakwa Lodge 3, Native American Dance Team, do not receive any funds to construct our individual Regalia, or transportation to get to and from your location, toward the purchase our Dance Songs, or our Time spent to gather and practice our routines and understand Indian Lore. You have asked for our service to perform for you.
What would it cost you to:
- Gather a group of young scouts?
- Destine to become Eagle Scouts and your Future leaders from the Heart of Virginia Council
- To teach them how to craft the many pieces of their Regalia?
- To teach them how to dance to the Drum, in unison?
- To maintain all the regalia they wear? Just the head pieces are $400 and up each
- To transport them to and from the events which they volunteer?
Your contribution helps to purchase Dance Songs, the Sinew used to assemble their outfits, toward the starter outfits new team members borrow until they can construct their own.
